"Laptop and I have staring competitions."
This one really spoke to me because I could relate to the feeling and the idea of just sitting down and mindlessley staring at the computer screen after being on the computer for hours just sifting through pointless videos, pictures, etc. Also I found this memoir to be really funny because of the fact he spoke of his labtop like it was a separate being.
"I wish people had mute buttons."
I liked this one because I have felt like this at times too. Sometimes there is just too much going on at one time and you get stressed out and your brain feels like it's going to explode and you just want to silence everyone else. I found this one really easy to relate to and thats what drew me to it.
"Mortality wasted while worrying about immortality."
When I read this memoir I found it to have a lot of truth to it. I also enjoyed it because it was so ironic, and it showed how people sometimes waste the time that they have thinking about how to make it last longer rather than just accepting how impossible it is to change fate and just making the best of the time they have.
"When Dad says, "No", ask Mom."
Although this one is a little cliche I still liked it because I have found myself in this same situation many times or just the opposite. This really brought back a lot of childhood memories about asking for candy or pointless cheap toys things at the store.
"My path unknown. my eyes open."
I really liked this one because it reminds me of how uncertain the future is. Especially when you've come to the point in your life that I'm at where you have to start thinking about the future, and everything just seems very undefined at this point. You just have to keep your eyes open and see how everything works out, or doesn't work out.
